Kenneth C. Stolberg

March 10, 1931 — November 30, 2018

Kenneth Charles Stolberg, a 40-year resident of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home on November 30, 2018 at the age of 87, with family by his side. Ken was born in Munhul, Pennsylvania in March of 1931 and is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Esther, sons Steven (Tina), David (Lori), Donald (Nancy), Daughters Juline (Doug) and Nina (Terry), grandchildren Thea, Elizabeth, Ryan, Steven, Tyler, William, Carter, Abby, Evan, Grace, Nick, Jaime, and Cole and great-grandchildren Allison, Madison, Sterling, Lexi and London (with two more on the way). He was preceded in death by his father Carl and mother Hilda, his brothers Carl, Stanley, James, Robert, and Delbert, and his sisters Betty and Arlene, as well as his son, Kenny.

Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Service was a way of life for him. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years as a Tech Sergeant, serving in various capacities and won numerous medals while on the Air Force shooting team. After his military service, he worked in various trades and industries. Growing up on a farm in the height of the depression, Ken learned to fix most anything; a talent he continued throughout his life. He was a builder, creator, and fixer of many things. He enjoyed making things and was an avid hobbyist woodworker and leathercrafter. A cowboy at heart, Ken loved anything western. He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association, the Air Force Sergeants Association, and the Retired Enlisted Association.

His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends were the light of his life and brought him great joy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. At his request, there will be no memorial service.
