Kathryn M. Adcock

July 24, 1919 — December 5, 2020

Kathryn Mae Adcock went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020 at 7:30 p.m.. She was 101 years old, born on July 24, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents were Wallace Elwood Bell and Ethyl Bell. Her siblings were Ella Louise Englehart, Ethyl Mae “Snookie” Shane, Wallace E. “Buddy” Bell, and Mary Lee Bell.

She is survived by her nieces Karen Jo Rossi and Vickie Marie Brown, her nephews Johnny Ray “Butch” Bell, and her great nieces and great nephews.

Everyone called her Kay. She graduated from Paseo High School and worked for Allstate Insurance Company until she retired after 32 years. Her first love was horses and she performed for years with her riding club Heart of America at the American Royal. She was quite an animal lover and did pet sitting for several families. She even gave her time helping handicapped children ride horses as therapy at Heartland School of Riding. She never tired of helping others, even as she grew older. She loved taking bus trips with her friends, who we called the Golden Girls.

“You loved us so much that you held on tight until your strength was gone and you could no longer hold on. Finally you gave your hand to God and slipped away quietly without telling us bye. I will forever love you because you have been there always to support and guide me through life.”

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whosoever believes in me, though he die, shall he live and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” John 11:25-26
