Albert Donnelly, Jr., 91, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away September 25, 2022, at his home.
Al was born March 17, 1931, in Wilmington, Delaware, the only child of Albert and Adelaide (Simmons) Donnelly. He was a US Army veteran during the Korean era. Al proudly served on the Kansas City Fire Department for 31 years, retiring as a Fire Apparatus Operator. Al was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola, and her son Steven Meyer. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Betty.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Donnelly (Datha); granddaughters, Ashley Beer (Ryan) and Vanessa Scott (Adam); great grandchildren, Kasey Martinez, Brennan Scott and Karsyn Martinez. Al also leaves Lola's grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as Betty's five children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by military honors at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, October 1, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Luke's Hospice.
