Alfred Nace, age 86, peacefully passed away on May 25, 2024. He was born on November 26, 1937, in Fort Collins, Colorado, the oldest of five children of Clarence and Gladys Nace.
Alfred served overseas in the Army as a helicopter mechanic and pilot. He was a proud, lifetime member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers union for over fifty years. As a mason, he was known for his skill and dedication to his trade.
Alfred was a kind and caring man, always ready to help others. He valued family above all and loved spending time with his grandkids Mallory, Codey, Erik, and great-grandkids Sammy and Jesse. He was proud of his sons: Scott (Karen), Jeff (Christine), and Jason (Nikki).
Alfred was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet. He now joins his parents, Clarence and Gladys Nace, and his siblings Robert, Roy, and Kathy. He is survived by his brother Charlie in Oregon.
Alfred will be missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love.
A Visitation will be held at Park Lawn Northland Chapel 1640 N State Route 291, Liberty, MO on Sunday, June 2, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Kern on Monday, June 3, at 10:00 am at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 2800 N Church Road, Liberty, MO. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 12:30 pm at Glenridge Cemetery, State Highway B at Shepherd Road in Liberty, MO.
