Alvin C Williams, 91, died peacefully on Thursday Oct. 31 2024. Alvin was born on April 29, 1933 in Craigsville, West Virginia. He graduated from High School with a GED after joining the military along with an assortment of other courses related to the communications field. He then went on to serve his country joining the United States Army and later the United States Air Force for a total of twenty-one years. He retired from the military in 1974. After leaving the military he went to work and retire from Sprint. Alvin met the love of his life, Hildred Morton, they married while in the military in 1956 for a total of 53 years at the time of Hildred’s passing in 2009. The two of them went on to have two sons, Charles (Cheryl) and Michael (Beverly). Michael passed from cancer in 2010, a year after his mother. He was a loving, generous, and selfless father and grandfather who loved his family. Alvin was passionate about his country, education and history. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hildred Williams 2009, Son, Michael Williams 2010.
Alvin is survived by his brother Donnie Williams of TX; son and daughter in law Charles and Cheryl Williams of MO; His four granddaughters Kendra, Ashley, Christine and Stephanie; and one great-grandson Mason.
A visitation for Alvin will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 12-1:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 1 pm at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 N State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Alvin's urn will then be driven in procession to Higginsville Veteran's Cemetery for a committal service with military honors.
