Ana Fonseca

               With saddened hearts, the family of Ana Luisa Fonseca is announcing that she passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 89.

            Ana was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and at the age of 15 migrated to New York City. At age 20, she was united in matrimony with Victor M. Fonseca Cruz. Her union with her husband totaled 63 years before she became a widow.  

            She worked in the New York garment district area full-time while also holding down the fort at home and raising two children.  Twenty-five years after moving to New York the family moved back to Puerto Rico. She worked in various jobs, including working for Timex watches while still also raising her young child.

            Ana had been residing in Texas and Missouri for the last 12 years. While living in both places, she acquired many friends and left a memorable mark with every one of them. 

            She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Belma Crespo, and son, Victor Fonseca. She was a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Wilfredo Crespo Jr., Amanda Danielle Yurko, Victor Miguel Fonseca, Anthony Fonseca, and Jonathan Fonseca.  She was blessed to have and able to be present in the lives of her six great grandchildren.

            Ana fought until her last breath with her health issues, but she was resigned and ready to meet her maker, Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Anyone that knew her has no doubt of her place in heaven.

            She was preceded in death by her father, Matilde Erazo; mother, Hipolita Moreno; her husband, Victor M. Fonseca Cruz; brothers, Luis Erazo, Juan Erazo, Roberto Erazo, and David Erazo; and sisters, Elena Erazo, Merida Erazo, Marina Erazo, Julia Erazo, Selenia Erazo, and Iraida Erazo.  

            Surviving family are her daughter Belma; son-in-law, Wilfredo Crespo; her son, Victor; sisters, Virginia Erazo and Helen Erazo; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            Ana was an exemplary daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  There is a void in our hearts, but we’re content because she’s free of pain and suffering. And until we’re all together again, may the Lord hold you in the palms of his hands. 

 Con el corazón entristecido La familia de Ana Luisa Fonseca comunica que falleció el pasado 13 de abril a la edad de 89 años.

Nació en Bayamón, Puerto Rico y a la edad de 15 años emigró a la ciudad de Nueva York. A los 20 años se unió en matrimonio con Víctor M. Fonseca Cruz. Su unión con su marido totalizó 63 años antes de quedarse viuda.

Trabajó a tiempo completo en el área del distrito textil de Nueva York, al mismo tiempo que  ejercia como ama de casa y criaba a dos hijos en Nueva York. Veinticinco años después de mudarse a Nueva York, la familia se mudó de regreso a Puerto Rico, donde trabajó en varios trabajos, incluido el de relojes Timex, mientras seguía criando a su hijo pequeño.

Había residido en Missouri durante los últimos 12 años y también en Texas. Mientras vivía en ambos lugares hizo muchos amigos y dejó una huella memorable en todos y cada uno de ellos.

  Fue una madre devota de su hija Belma Crespo y su hijo Víctor Fonseca. Era una abuela cariñosa con sus nietos, Wilfredo Crespo Jr., Amanda Danielle Yurko, Víctor Miguel Fonseca, Anthony Fonseca y Jonathan Fonseca. Tuvo la suerte de tener y poder estar presente en las vidas de sus seis bisnietos.

Luchó hasta su último aliento con sus problemas de salud pero estaba resignada y lista para encontrarse con su Creado Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Aquellos que la conoció no tiene dudas de su lugar en el cielo.

Precedido en la muerte su padre Matilde Erazo, Madre Hipólita Moreno. Su esposo Víctor M Fonseca Cruz. Los hermanos Luis Erazo, Juan Erazo, Roberto Erazo y David Erazo y las hermanas Elena Erazo, Mérida Erazo, Marina Erazo, Julia Erazo, Selenia Erazo e Iraida Erazo.

La familia que le sobrevive es su hija su hijo su yerno Wilfredo Crespo sus hermanas Virginia Erazo y Helen Erazo tambien nietos y bisnietos y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Fue una Hija, hermana, madre, abuela y bisabuela ejemplar. Hay un vacío en nuestros corazones pero estamo conformes porque ella está libre de dolor y sufrimiento. Y hasta que estemos todos juntos nuevamente, que el Señor la tenga en la palma de sus manos.
