Angela Kay Williams, born on January 23, 1963, in Independence, Missouri, left us on October 5, 2024. Angela spent her life in the vibrant Kansas City area; her innate spirit was marked by hard work, selflessness and love of family.
Attending Blue Springs High School, Angela showed us all what hard work and dedication can do. Her selflessness shined brightly, as she always put others before herself—proving time and again that a giving heart is a winning heart. Angela loved her career as a server, a role she embraced with unwavering passion and commitment. If there was an award for the best waitress in town, she would have it displayed front and center in her cozy living room!
Angela was a holiday aficionado, absolutely enchanted by Christmas. We’re talking about someone who could turn December into a year-round topic! She talked about the joys of the season and her love for gift-giving knew no bounds. She brought enough Christmas cheer to last well beyond the holiday season, much to the delight of her family, who awaited her presents with wide-eyed anticipation.
In her downtime, Angela was a thrift store treasure hunter, always on the lookout for unique finds that would spark joy with her daughters Jammie and Brandy. She had an unshakeable passion for her faith, often inspiring those around her with her radiant spirit. Movie nights and dinner dates were her jam, she loved a spot with a good buffet. And let’s not forget her affection for Coca-Cola! Can you imagine all the bubbly conversations she had while sipping her favorite drink as her favorite band REO Speed Wagon or go to song "The Rose" by Beth Miller was playing?
She is preceded in death by her father Fred Shea, mother Karen Smith, daughter Brandy Williams, husband Randy Williams, and stepdad Wally Smith.
Angela is survived by her vibrant daughter Jammie (Curtis) Myers; her lovely sisters Gina (Mike) Walters, Kathy (Dan) Smithson, Kelly (Bobbie Boldt) Smith; her wise and oh-so-sprightly 100-year-old grandmother Hazil Carter; and the one-and-only aunt Barbara Cirillo. Her legacy continues with her adoring grandchildren Elizabeth and Lilith Cantrell, along with an entire crew of seven fun-loving nieces and nephews who will carry forward her joyful spirit.
While we bid farewell to Angela, let’s remember her not with tears, but with smiles, laughter, and stories that celebrate her remarkable life. She may have left this world, but the memories she created will remain with us forever, reminding us to cherish every moment and embrace the magic life has to offer. So, lift your glasses of Coca-Cola in her honor and remember to gift someone today, just as she would have done! Cheers, Angela!
