Angelia Faye Young

Angelia Faye Young passed from this world to walk with our Lord on the morning of November 18, 2023.  

Angelia was born November 3, 1951, to Dan Morrison Jr., and Mary A. (Carrigan) Morrison in Hope, AR. She graduated from Yerger High School in Hope, AR in 1959.  Angelia’s work history includes Western Electric, Sears and the United States Postal Service among other employers. Angelia had a great love for sewing and became a professional seamstress working at Harold Pener’s Menswear as well as privately from her home.

Angelia was preceded in death by her parents, as well as three brothers: Joseph, Daniel and Larry; and two sisters: Clara and Cherry.

Those she left behind are her daughter, Kaundria A. Morrison of Kansas City, MO; sister, Dorothy Wimbush of Kansas City, MO; seven nieces: Carol Nash (Ronald) of Corpus Christi, TX; Elaine Holloway of San Antonio, TX; Sharon Kraft (Kevin) of Kansas City, MO; Lorie Morrison of Hope, AR; Victoria Morrison of Atlanta, GA; Kimberly Anderson (Kevy Bo) of Oakland, CA; four nephews: Joey Morrison of Oakland, CA; Ronald Wimbush (Tammy) of Kansas City, MO; Damon Wimbush of Kansas City, MO; O’Dedrick Morrison of Hope, AR; and a host of great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1st, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethel Family Worship Center, 10801 Ruskin Way, Kansas City, Missouri.  Services will follow at Bethel Family Worship Center at 1 p.m.; interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
