Ann Elizabeth (McCloskey) Carboneau, 89, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away peacefully in her home on April 23, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Ann was born October 17, 1933, in Brighton, Massachusetts, the youngest of three children of Charles E. and Julia E. (Daly) McCloskey. Ann graduated from Boston State Teachers’ College and taught school for more than four decades, retiring from the North Kansas City School district. She was a lifelong devout Catholic and was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Along with her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ralph W. Carboneau; son, Robert P. Carboneau; grandson, Christopher I. Wescott; brothers, Charles E. McCloskey, Jr. and George E. McCloskey (KIA WWII); and daughter-in-law, Tracy L. Carboneau.
Survivors include children, David A. Carboneau, Gregory J. Carboneau (Julie) and Lisabeth A. Rosenbloom (Mitchell); grandchildren, Justin Cole (Michelle), Michael Carboneau, Mark Carboneau, Adam Rosenbloom, and Daly Rosenbloom; great grandchildren, Addison and Ethan Cole; as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am, on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
