Richard A. Arnold

Richard Alan Arnold, 63, of Kearney, MO passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital surrounded by family. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Rich's life at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, March 7, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Rich was born July 16, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, the eldest of five children of George Washington and Peggy Louise (Swanson) Arnold. His father preceded him in death. Rich grew up in Arnold, MO, and moved to the Kansas City area in 1977 when he went to work for UPS. His career spanned 44 years until his health no longer permitted. Rich was united in marriage to Debra Sue Banes on July 31, 1982 at Gashland Presbyterian Church in Gladstone.

Survivors include his wife of 37+ years, Debbie; and children, Sean Arnold (Lindsay) and Lindsay Grasser (J.T.). He was Pa Pa to his four grandchildren, Heather, Wesley, Evan and Kenzie. Rich also leaves his mother, Peggy Arnold; siblings, Donna Brutcher (Ray), Debbie Nickelson (Jamie), Dennis Arnold and Betty Bopp (Rick); as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Rich’s life at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, March 7, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty.
