Dallas Scott Atherton, of Smithville Missouri passed away May 21st at the age of 18.
Dallas was born May 9, 2002 at ST Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He is the oldest child of Gregory Atherton and Megan Hynes. He is part of the 2020 Graduating class of Smithville High School and was currently working at QuikTrip.
Dallas was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and the New England Patriots. He loved gaming with others and being with his family and friends. Growing up he was involved in baseball, football, and soccer. He is known to his friends and family for his smile, his sweet, kind personality, and his fun-loving ways. Dallas had the best hugs ever and he gave them often. We will greatly miss those hugs and our Dallas so much.
Survivors include his dad Greg Atherton of Smithville, mom and step dad Megan and Patrick Hynes of Kansas City, sister Isabelle Atherton and brother Brayden Atherton of Smithville, step brother Jaromy Hynes of Kansas City, grandparents Larry and Karen Atherton of Trimble, and Kurt and Judy Whynaucht of Gladstone, great grandparents Roberta Mills of Kansas City, Wayne and Janet Whynaucht of Kansas City and Blanch Gower of Ames Iowa.
He is also leaving behind Aunts and Uncles, Jeremy and Molly Atherton of Liberty, Daniel and Andrea Nolen of Smithville, Michael and Jami Donnelly of Hainesport, New Jersey; Joshua Gower and Kara Gardiner of Kansas City, Adam Whynaucht of Kansas City and Cousins Mckenna, Lily, Rilyn, Carody, Huxley, Liam, Everett, Kieren, Jakob, Javen, Joseph, and Harlow.
Fly High our Angel. We love you so much and will miss you greatly until we meet again.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, May 29, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 30, at Glenridge Cemetery, State Highway B at Shepherd Road, Liberty, MO.
