Timothy Jay “T.J.” Ayres

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Timothy “T.J.” Ayres, age 35, on May 7, 2019.

Anyone that had the chance to be around him will remember he was a music aficionado, a constant learner and someone who was empathetic and caring to strangers just as he was to those who were close to him. The definition of a true friend. He always had a song or a book to share with anyone who would lend an ear. His courage through life’s ups and downs was inspiring and will not be forgotten. He lived his life with purpose and will be missed greatly by everyone whom his soul touched along the way.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy; sister, Julie; brother, Michael; as well as his niece and nephews: Trey, Victoria, Tommy, Brody and Blake. He had an enormous amount of pride being called “Uncle Shoe Tie”.

Services for T.J. will be held Monday, June 17, 2019, at Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, Building C, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS, 66224. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
