Juanita Fay Benezette

Juanita was born in Jackson County, Missouri, to Ora and Netta Gibson. She married Larry Benezette in 1954. Although they practically married as kids themselves, they started their own family and had four children in a five year time period.

Juanita retired from the IRS as a branch manager. She was an avid gardener and last year she canned over 600 jars of vegetables, berries and jams.  She enjoyed trying many different restaurants around Kansas City and highly recommends the fish at Cheddar’s.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Larry; and their son, Mark.

Survivors include her daughters: Ann Johnson, of Belton, MO; Terrie DeFord, of Lee’s Summit, MO; Shelly Collins and her husband Randy, of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister, Alice Krueger of Liberty; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of loving family members and friends.
