Betty Joan Duxbury

Betty Joan Duxbury, age 92, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Gladstone Missouri, passed away November 28, 2023.  She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Ira Witman Ostrom and Ruth Eleanor Ostrom.  Betty was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker who went to work at La Petite Academy after her children were grown.

Betty was married for 72 years to Robert B. Duxbury who passed away in 2020.  Betty's children Susan C. Lock and husband Robert J. Lock, of Parkville, Missouri; Stephen Lynn Duxbury, of Kansas City, Missouri; Randy Scott Duxbury, of Blue Springs, Missouri.; 4 Grandchildren: Tom and Natasha Springhower; Tracy and Johnny DeMaddalena; Brian and Jiae Duxbury, Aaron Duxbury; and 8 great grandchildren: Thomas, Olivia, Valerie, Johnny Joe, Jenna, Jillian, Madden, Autumn and Kai; Great Great granddaughter Emary Lee DeMaddalena

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Tuesday, December 5 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial tributes may be made to Faith Home Health and Hospice, 2700 NE Kendallwood, Suite 100, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
