Betty Lou Elliott

July 15, 1930 — June 25, 2024

Betty Lou Elliott, a dedicated homemaker and pillar of strength, passed away on June 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. She was born on July 15, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas. Affectionately known as Momma, Betty was a strong and independent woman who devoted her life to raising four hard-headed boys with unwavering determination.

Betty's life centered around her family, whom she cherished above all else. Her personality reflected her incredible inner and outer strength; she was always willing to do whatever it took to protect and serve her loved ones. Her proudest accomplishment was her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, through which she prayed for the salvation of her family.

In addition to her nurturing role at home, Betty found joy in simple pleasures such as quilting, embroidery, crocheting and tending to the flowers in her yard. Her commitment to creating a warm and loving home shone through in each stitch and every bloom.

She was a beloved mother to her sons Ron (Gail) Elliott, Rick (Pamela) Elliott, Rusty (Cheri) Elliott, Rodney Elliott; as well as grandchildren Chris, Becky, Lisa, Sarah, Tim, Jennifer, Joe, Jaclyn, Tabatha, and Samantha. She also leaves behind 21 great-grandchildren. In heaven, she will join her husband Robert Elliott and parents Floyd and Myrle Sedgwick.

A visitation will be held on June 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Park Lawn Northland Chapel in Liberty, Missouri followed by a graveside service on June 28th at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton, Missouri at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at the link below.

Betty Lou Elliott will be remembered not only for her strength and nurture, but also for her love and dedication. May her memory continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
