BILLIE J. HARRISON

          Billie Jean Harrison, 88, of Claycomo, went to be with her Lord on February 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

          Billie was born October 24, 1935, in Kansas City, MO, the eldest of two daughters of Beuford and Ruth (Alley) Parsons.  She graduated from William Chrisman High School and received her degree from Penn Valley College.  Billie was a 50-year member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and taught Singles’ Sunday school class and led Celebrate Recovery for many years.  Billie was also a longtime member of Friends of the KC Zoo. Billie worked as a Transportation and Inventory Control Manager for Midland International before she retired.  

          Billie was united in marriage to Kenny Harrison on January 19, 1980, and he preceded her in death in 2005.  She leaves her children, Lorie Burton (Lyle), Linda Gaume (Paul), Richard Bickley, and Albert Bickley (Patricia Fernandez); five grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren (#30 on the way), two great-great grandchildren (and #3 on the way).   She also leaves her sister, Patricia Baker, two nephews and their families, and countless church family and friends.  

          Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, followed by a service celebrating Billie’s life at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 5, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO 64068.  Committal service will follow at 2:00 pm in Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the church.
