Arva Jean Bird

Arva Jean Bird, our beloved mother, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, the 6^th day of August, 2019.

She was born in 1926 in Tarsney, Missouri.

Arva graduated from high school at William Chrisman in 1944, where she met the love of her life, Roy Bird. Together they enjoyed over 60 beautiful years of marriage.

Arva Jean loved entertaining, cooking, painting and nature. She was active in her faith and attended Metro Baptist Church.

She was the youngest of 8 siblings who were all a major part of her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Hankel-Shepherd and Marsha Larson; three grandchildren: Stephany, Heather and Tyler; three great grandchildren: Zaelyn, Ever and Acelyn Jean.

Funeral service will be 11:30AM, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 7000 Blue Ridge, Kansas City, MO 64133.

Arva Jean Bird, age 93, passed away August 6, 2019.

Funeral service will be 11:30AM, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
