In Loving Memory of Bobby Joe Balentine

[1949] – [2025]

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Balentine, who left us on February 6th at the age of 75.

Early Life

Born June 12th in Marshall, Arkansas, Bobby was the beloved child of Merol Balentine and Ermadean (Harris) Dudziak. From a young age, Bob exhibited a natural love of hunting and fishing. He worked for his father helping with the family business before beginning his own separate endeavors.

Education and Career

Bob graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, Missouri before being drafted into the Army and serving in the war in Vietnam. After returning home, his professional journey was marked by a lifetime career in tree service; often traveling long distances and long hours during storms or periods of work drawback to provide for his family.

Family and Personal Life

Bobby was a devoted spouse, parent, brother, grandparent, and friend. He is survived by Teri Balentine (wife), Bobby (Amanda) Balentine, Michael (Autumn) Balentine, Jessica Cayton, and Linda (Ralph) Keller (sister). He had great love for his grandchildren Annie, Alexis, Noah, Logan, Trevor, and Alison, and he took immense pride in their growth and achievement. He was preceded in death by his father Merol Balentine and his mother Ermadean Dudziak. Bob also mourned the recent loss of a close friend of nearly half a century (Dave McDaniel).

Interests and Hobbies

Bob had a passion for hunting and fishing with his father in his younger life. Later, he would share his love of fishing with his own sons and daughter. He was an avid bowler participating in multiple different leagues across the metro for most of his life. Golfing was another activity Bob was able to enjoy with family on a regular basis. As he approached the end of his time, he enjoyed caring for his animals, and would speak of his cats resting with him on his recliner until the very end. He also loved to drink coffee on the porch with Teri as he watched the walkers, golf cart riders, and deer pass by the cabin.

Legacy

Bob's legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to those they loved and the causes they believed in. He touched countless lives and will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral Service

A funeral service to honor Bobby’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Park Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, family requests donations be made on Bob’s behalf to the ASPCA.

As we say our final goodbyes, we hold on to the cherished memories and the impact Bobby had on our lives. Bob’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever despite the lack of his physical presence.
