Joanne Wamsher Bogart

Joanne Wamsher Bogart, 85, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2019 at John Knox Hospice House with her family by her side.  Joanne was born November 3, 1933 to Louis B. Wamsher and Mary (Ogle) Wamsher in Kansas City, MO.  She married Howard Lee Bogart on August 2, 1951.  To this union, four children were born.  Joanne was a Paseo High School graduate.  She touched many lives as a school bus driver for the Raytown School District for 30 years.  Howard and Joanne were active members of Evangel Church for many years.  She loved music, sang in the church choir and shared her love of music playing the piano for the residents and staff at John Knox Village.  Joanne never knew a stranger and was known as "Grandma Jo" to everyone, including at her bank and grocery store.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Howard Bogart in 2002.  Survivors include children David Bogart of Lee's Summit, MO; Jaclyn and Paul Creadon of Westcliffe, CO; Melinda and Bradford Stearman of Port Richey, FL; and Clifford and Julie Bogart of Lee's Summit, MO; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation / luncheon will be 11:30AM-1PM, Tuesday, May 14 at Evangel Church; private burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
