January 7, 2020 — January 7, 2020

“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Elliot Andrew Bonnesen was born on Tuesday, January 7th at 4:49pm. He had a strong heartbeat throughout birth but unfortunately never took a breath. He weighed 4lbs 5oz and was 17 inches long. He was born with Bilateral Renal Agenesis, meaning he had no kidneys/renal system and therefore no amniotic fluid to develop his lungs.

He is survived by his parents, Taylor & Manda Bonnesen; grandparents Jeremy & Annabeth Bonnesen and Tim & Alisa Hopper; great grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and numerous other family members.

Despite the extreme heartbreak of this situation, Taylor and Manda are praising God for all He has done and will do through Elliot’s little life. We do not grieve as those without hope, and that is the blessing through all of it.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” -Romans 8:18

Visitation will be 9AM, with services to follow at 10AM, Saturday, January 18 at Abundant Life Church, 304 SW Persels Rd., Lee's Summit, MO; private burial in Raymore Cemetery.

Romans 14:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. Death does bring dark clouds but the Lord is our light and refugee. Elliot is in heaven with our Lord and Savior. It’s never goodbye it’s see you later. We will be praying for you all and love you guys. God bless and our condolences.

May God comfort you and make you stronger. I prayed this several times from losing two as well. "I will chose not to be held down by a spirit of discouragement and grief. By your grace I will stand firm and trust you. Help me to remember that others are going through the same pain as me, help me to get strong, so that with the same comfort that you comfort me with, I will be able to comfort others."
