Bonnie J. Jenkins, formally of Prairie Village, Kansas died at Ignite Medical Resort in Kansas City, Missouri on November 2, 2023. She had been a resident there for the past four years. Bonnie was born on May 16, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elmer A. Nash and Dorris Case Nash.
When she was young, her family moved to Grandview, Missouri where she attended grade school and high school. She met the love of her life, Timothy “Rudy” Jenkins on a blind date and they were married 69 years. They moved to Prairie Village, Kansas in 1949 and she lived there for 70 years. Rudy died in 2012.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Timmy and Thomas, an infant great-granddaughter, Sara and her sister, JoAnn Lang.
Survivors are her two children, Cynthia Jenkins and Terry Jenkins, three granddaughters, Heather, Heidi and Missy, twelve great-grandchildren, Justin, Elycsa, Wesley, Madelaine, Luke, Sophia, Samuel, Joseph, Hudson, Teddy, Timmy and Jubilee, ten great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, Cheryl Lang and Melody Atcheson, son-in-law, Norton Canfield and special friend, Linda Sue Kirsch.
Bonnie loved and adored her great-great-grandchildren, Jameson, Eliana, Elliott and Penelope.
There will be a family gathering at the gravesite at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:30 pm. She will be buried alongside her husband.
