Bonnie Lou (Tatom) Lafferty, 89, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial and contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.

Bonnie was born on July 2, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri to James Harry and Pauline Gertrude (Hornbeck) Tatom. She attended East High School in Kansas City, Missouri. On January 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to Leroy Albert Glaszczak in her mother’s home on Kensington Street in Kansas City. Together they had three sons: Richard, Daniel, and John. Bonnie worked for Whitaker Cable Company in North Kansas City as a packer. For 19 years she worked as a prep cook for Red Lobster on Barry Road. On May 29, 1971, she was married to Donald Dean Lafferty and welcomed his four children into her family.

Bonnie loved to bowl, play Keno at the casinos, and really enjoyed her Wheel of Fortune.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; brothers, James and Jack Tatum; sister, Norma Curton; and children Dennis and Donita Lafferty. She is survived by her children, Richard Glaszczak, Daniel Glaszczak , John Glaszczak, Chris Lafferty, and Kim Lafferty; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew.
