Bonnie Lorine Morris

Bonnie Lorine Morris, 80, passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2025. 

Bonnie was born on May 9th, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Homer and Hilda Shineman. She graduated from Paola High School in 1962. She met the love of her life, Clinton Morris, on a blind date in 1962, and married him on April 4th, 1964. Bonnie began working at Missouri Gas Energy in 1979 in the payroll department. 

Her children remember her as a dedicated Lutheran and homemaker, and she taught them the importance of family values. Bonnie was a gifted seamstress and even sewed the uniforms for the concession stand girls at the St Louis Zoo. She was a doting grandma and loved her grandchildren dearly. Bonnie was also an active member of King of Kings Lutheran church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Hilda Shineman. 

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 60 years Clinton Morris, two children, Barry Morris and Stacey Davis, siblings, Jerry Shineman and Gloria Garrett, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. 

Friends are invited to share their favorite memories of Bonnie at her visitation Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5-7pm at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 North Mo. 291 Hwy., Liberty, MO 64068) Celebration of Life for Bonnie will be 11:00am, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at King Of Kings Lutheran Church (1701 NE 96th St., Kansas City, MO 64155). Burial will be in Barry Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choice in her name

The family would like to thank Kansas City Hospice for their care in her last moments. A special thank you to Mackenzie Newman for going above and beyond the call of granddaughter duties to help support Bonnie, Clinton, and Stacey as they navigated the trials of Alzheimers.
