Alda May Boren, 63, passed away January 18, 2023. Alda graduated from Maple Valley State School and worked at Blue Valley Industries for 30 years. She was very active in Special Olympics, loved the color pink, bowling, the KC Chiefs and the KC Royals. She was awarded a star on the Kansas City Walk of Fame pictured under the star for Paul Splittorff. Alda enjoyed doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and at a Thrift Store. She enjoyed going to an adult daycare everyday, walking, riding horses and coloring.
Alda was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Alberta Boren and her brother Hugh Francis Boren. Survivors include her sister Julia Nesselhuf, brother Alden (Alicia) Boren, brother Fred (Connie) Boren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Saturday, January 28 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
