Thomas Joseph Bowling

Thomas Joseph Bowling, 64, of Gladstone, MO, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2020, at K. U. Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, with his wife Becky at his side.

Tom was born June 28, 1955, in Sycamore, IL, the youngest of four children of John and Mary (Cremer) Bowling. Tom graduated from high school in Billings, MT and remained in Montana until moving to Las Vegas in 2007. He and Becky moved to the Kansas City, MO area in 2014.

Beginning at age 18, Tom became a diesel mechanic, working for Detroit Diesel in Billings, MT. His career in this industry would span 45 years. The last 35 years he worked for Cummins, Inc. in Billings, MT, Las Vegas, NV, and most recently in Power Generation sales management in Kansas City, MO.

As a devoted Christian, Tom served in his church in various areas, especially in Divorce Care and leading and mentoring in Celebrate Recovery.

Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Bowling of Ada, OK. Survivors include his wife, Becky (Thatcher) Bowling; sons, Sean Bowling of Glenwood Springs, CO, and Seth Bowling of Billings, MT; step-children, Penny Snow of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Tony Snow (Bonny) of Seeley Lake, MT, and Crystal Hanson (Dustin) of Billings, MT; step-grandchildren, Grant, Sydney, Isis, Kieu, Mae, Natalie, Madison and Olivia; sisters, Dorothy Ott (Bob) of Reed Point, MT, and Patsy Cuddy of Santa Inez, CA; Mike's wife, Cindy Bowling of Ada, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A celebration of Tom's life will begin with a visitation at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 13, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
