Sandra Lee Bowring, 72, a longtime Liberty resident, passed away June 1, 2021, at Liberty Hospital.
Sandy was born October 16, 1948, in Vancouver, British Columbia, the daughter of Owen Stanley and Grace Arleith Halling. She moved with her family to Costa Mesa, CA and graduated from high school at Corona del Mar.
Sandy met her future husband William Ray Bowring and they moved to the Kansas City area and were united in marriage on July 26, 1969 in North Kansas City. Sandy worked many years in Credit and Collections for General Electric. Sandy loved to sew, loved animals and enjoyed anything outdoors, including yard work, flowers and gardening. Bill and Sandy also enjoyed many road trips in exotic cars across the country.
Along with her parents, Sandy was preceded by a brother, Bruce. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Bill; son, Travis Bowring; brother, Greg Halling; and "grandchildren" Cheyenne and Bryce Staab.
Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm Sunday, June 6, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Private graveside services will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
