Roy Marvin “Stubby” Bradley
April 4, 1929 - December 25, 2022
On Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 Roy Marvin "Stubby" Bradley passed way at the age of 93. Stubby was a loving dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
Roy was born on April 4, 1929 to parents Roy Sr. and Mary Easton Bradley in Kansas City, Missouri. Roy married Shirley Erisman on April 18, 1947 together they had four sons LeRoy, Marvin, Mark and Roger.
With the help of Bob Erisman and Bill Erisman, Roy joined Plumbers Local Union #8 in 1960 and retired in 1990. He Instilled in his four boys how important it was to learn a trade. Known to say, “things don't get done by themselves” and “time to hit it”, he was never one to shy away from hard work. Roy created and left a legacy of trade work, with all four sons being retired members of Plumbers Union Local #8. After retirement he enjoyed; gardening, hunting, fishing and watching sports. Never one to sit for too long he was often outside. Roy loved telling jokes and could always liven up a crowd. He loved his family dearly, and took care of his mother and siblings until they went home to Jesus.
Roy is survived by his sons and daughters in law, LeRoy Bradley (Bate City, MO), Marvin Bradley (and wife Betty of Raymore, MO), Mark Bradley (and wife Cathy of Marceline, MO), and Roger Bradley (and wife Catherine of Lake of the Ozarks, MO), 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father Roy Bradley Sr., mother Mary Elston Bradley, brother David Bradley and sisters; Juanita Bradley, Betty Parvin Bradley, Pearl Bradley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Park Lawn Funeral Home 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64138. A visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
