James L. Brown

James Leonard Brown, 84, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away January 20, 2021, at Rosewood of Independence, MO.

Jim was born December 24, 1936, in Salina, KS, the only child of Leonard R. and Amelia Mary (Halbleib) Brown. He was united in marriage to Virginia "Ginny" Kneib on October 19, 1963.

Jim served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960. He owned and operated Custom House Painting Company for many years until he retired. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Ginny; daughters, Lori Brown of Kansas City, MO, Rebecca Brown of Colorado, and Sara Tafolla (Shawn Lothamer) of Kansas City, MO; and grandsons, Blake Brown and Brandon Tafolla.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, January 26, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1335 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the church.
