We enjoyed watching Blake grow as a tennis player and a young man. He always seemed so laid back but if his opponent made him mad you better watch out! He would come back with a vengeance. As a parent, I can't even begin to understand the pain of losing a child but know that Robert and I are here for you and holding you all in our hearts. Much love and peace.

Amy Hoefer

I'm in Blake's class, this hurt to read because I did not get a chance to talk to him much during our class time. I'm so sorry for your loss. Que descanse en paz.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Blake's passing. I am so thankful to of had the opportunity to be a part of his high school experience in ag education and FFA. He was a pure joy to work with as a young man! May God wrap his arms around his family and friends during this time. May those beautiful memories of his life comfort us in the days to come.

Blake was not only one of my 5th Grade students but the twin brother of one of my daughter's best friends. I will always remember two things: 1) The individual reading conferences we'd have about his reading, where he'd open up and talk about whatever book it was he was reading. It was so good to hear his voice. 2) Math time. Blake would light up in math time, especially if he really understood the concept we were working. It was one of those rare times he felt comfortable enough to open up in front of others. Later, when Blake was in high school, I'd watch Blake play tennis with the same ferocity that he had in my math. The connections I built with my students makes each of them precious and I truly am praying for all of his friends and family through this difficult time.
