Angela Donna Burch

Angela Donna Burch, 71, of Pleasant Valley, MO, passed away July 1, 2021, following a long illness.

Angela was born January 27, 1950, in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, the daughter of Esoof Ali and Hagar Louise Harracksingh Ali. She was the first of her family to move to the United States. Living in New York, she met and was married to William Winston Burch. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1985. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son, Winston William Burch.

Angela worked as a CNA and for the US Postal Service. Cooking and providing for her family was her language of love. She was the food-master of the family and was especially known for her great Trini food, baking carrot cakes and banana bread. Angela loved her family and never was there a stranger she wouldn't help.

Survivors include her children, Alicia Downes (Gary), Shannon Burch and Jarod Burch; grandchildren, Grant Downes, Kyle Downes, Sienna Burch-Hale and William Burch-Hale; siblings, Selma Ali-Cox (Edmund), Jinnah Ali, Pamela Assee (Herman) and George Ali. She also leaves behind a great extended family and beautiful legacy.

When we are lost and sick at heart

When we have joys we yearn to share
We remember her.

So as long as we live, she too shall live, for she is now a part of us as
