Anita L. Byrd

August 29, 1938 — June 8, 2020

In deepest sorrow we are announcing the passage of Anita Lea Byrd on June 8th, 2020 at the age of 81.

Anita was preceded in death by her mother Neva, her father George Lee and her brother Rodney Kneale. Along with her beloved husband Wayne L. Byrd.

She is survived by her two daughters Lynn R. Atchison and Lesley R. McKeone with her husband John. She is also survived by three grandsons Mitchell Miller, Brenden and Bryce McKeone, two granddaughters Danielle and Cheyenne Atchison. In continuation, she is also survived by 8 great grandchildren Savannah, Nathaniel, Alex, Lucas, BrookLynn, Aaliyah, Vera Lea Ann and Grace and last but not least her faithful cat Jake.

Anita was born August 29th, 1938. She graduated in 1957 from Ruskin High School. She worked for over 30 years as an underwriters assistant for Universal Underwriters Ins. Group Zurich. She was a member of the Raytown Women of Today where she volunteered for many years. Anita was artistic, loved music, and to sing, was also an avid reader of books. She will be greatly missed.

A rosary will begin at 9:45AM, with a visitation to follow at 10AM and Mass of Christian burial at 11AM, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 2103 Lexington Rd., Pleasant Hill, MO; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
