Delight Lee Cain

Delight Lee (Wilford) Cain, 82, of Liberty, MO, passed away June 5, 2018, at home. Visitation will begin at 1:15 pm, followed by a service celebrating Delight's life at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 10, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to NorthCare Hospice or to Wayside Waifs.

Delight was born May 6, 1936, in Galt, MO, the second of four daughters of Lee Audra and Lula Ann (Lovell) Wilford. She was united in marriage to William Chester Cain on August 3, 1956, in Kansas City. Delight worked 12 years as secretary for Trinity Baptist and Tabernacle Baptist churches. She later worked more than 20 years for Baptist Medical Center before she retired. Delight was a member of Second Baptist Church in Liberty.

Along with her parents, Delight was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Wilford and Barbara Smith; and husband of 60 years, Bill Cain. Survivors include her sons, John William Cain (Karen) and Steven Wilford Cain; grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey (Justin), Matthew Cain (Rachel), Cara Giannascoli (Matt); great grandchildren, Kuyper Bailey, Emerson Bailey and Scarlett Cain; sister, Janice Miles (James); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
