Ruth Ann Olds Canaday

Ruth Ann Olds Canaday, 69, of Amazonia, MO, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2022, at Tiffany Springs Rehab, surrounded by her three daughters.

Ruth was born April 2, 1952, in Kansas City, MO, the eldest of three daughters of John Calvin and Dorothy Louise (Beck) Olds. Her father and an infant grandson Carter preceded her in death.

Ruth grew up in Lathrop where she graduated from high school in 1970. For 16 years she owned and operated H&R Block franchises in Lathrop and Excelsior Springs, and later worked as a Network Administrator for DST and H&R Block headquarters.

Survivors include her daughters, Faith Weber (Joe Gray), Sarah Canaday and Becca Phillips (Chris); grandchildren, Morgan, Charlotte, Joel and Colin; mother, Dorothy Olds; sisters, Susie Rollheiser (John) and Debi Olds; nephew, Jacob Rollheiser; and niece, Emily Rollheiser; as well as other family members and friends, including her companion, Gary Burton and his daughter, Rachel Burton.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Monday, April 4, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
