Carl Stanley Shearer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on July 5, 2024, in North Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on February 5, 1925, in Hurdland, Missouri, to his loving parents Oscar and Lydia (Davis) Shearer.

 Stanley led a fulfilling and diverse career throughout his life. He was a crop and cattle farmer before branching out into the electrical business. Following this, he served as a mail carrier and worked at an auto dealership. Eventually, he found his calling as a maintenance engineer at North Kansas City Hospital until his well-deserved retirement.

 He grew up in a rural area and graduated from Novelty High School in Novelty, Missouri. It was there that he met his high school sweetheart Maurine who would become his devoted wife. In 1944, Stanley enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in the Asia Pacific. During his service, his new bride Maurine wrote him letters every day, showcasing their unwavering bond.

 Apart from his professional life, Stanley had an array of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He took pleasure in raising his garden and indulging in yard work. His love for tending to vegetables was evident, reflecting his nurturing nature. Additionally, he found solace in tinkering and fixing things, showcasing his talent for mechanical work. He had a knack for fixing anything. While he may have been quiet by nature, those close to him knew of his subtle sense of humor that brought joy to their lives.

 Stanley is survived by his devoted wife Maurine J. Shearer; loving son S. Kim (Lisa) Shearer; caring daughter Karen (Paul) Asel; grandchildren Michael (Monique) Shearer, Matthew Shearer, Holly (John) Wheller; great grandchildren Cody Shearer, Logan Shearer, and Destiny Shearer. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
