Carolyn G. Maberry

Carolyn G. Maberry, age 92, passed away in Manhattan, Kansas on December 27, 2024.

She was born May 30, 1932, in Chariton County, Missouri, the daughter of John W. Guilford and Clara (Graham) Guilford. Carolyn graduated from Sumner High School in Sumner, Missouri. She then attended Chillicothe Business School and Longview Community College. She married Raymond F. Maberry on June 4, 1954. Together they had two children, John & Linda.

Carolyn worked for Armco Steel for 35 years. After retiring, she dedicated her time to quilting, gardening, and canning. She loved puzzles of all kinds and game nights with her family, featuring Scrabble and Words with Friends. Trips to Branson held a special place in her heart. Furthermore, she took great pleasure in watching her great-granddaughter's soccer games and spending time with her family. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, granddaughter Holli, her sister and brother-in-law, Donald & Marilyn Linscott. She is survived by her son, John Maberry (Jeanne); daughter Linda Maberry, both of Manhattan, Kansas. Brother Bob Guilford (Shirley). Grandchildren Josh Maberry (Mandy) of Edmond, Oklahoma, Christy Frisbie (Casey) of Manhattan, Kansas, and Mackenzie Maberry of Kansas City, Missouri. Great Grandchildren Koy Maberry, Carley Frisbie, Kaya Maberry, Carmyn Frisbie & Kodi Maberry. As well as two Great-Great Grandkids.

Services will be held Friday January 3, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and the Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, with a graveside service following.
