John Franklin Carter went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2021. He was born November 24, 1932 in Parthenon, Arkansas. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Georgann; three children Steve (Christina), LaDonna (Jeff), James (Richie); five grandchildren Annamarie, Stephen, Adam, Ryan and Jeremy; and thirteen great grandchildren. John’s heart was serving the Lord and helping others. He was deeply involved in many functions in the church. He was a deacon for decades at Bethel Tabernacle and in recent years at Susquehanna Assembly of God. He worked at Intercon Corp. for 47 years and was greatly revered for his expertise and knowledge. He started Carter General Maintenance repairing, painting, building and many other jobs. He loved going to church and spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Anyone who knew John knew he was a godly man and his heart loved helping others.
Visitation will be 6-8PM, Thursday, February 4, with services 11AM, Friday, February 5, both at Susquehanna Assembly of God, 622 N. Jennings Rd., Independence, MO; burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
