Clarence Curtis “Curt” Casey

Clarence Curtis Casey, 87, of Kansas City North, passed away March 28, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Curt's life at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, April 4, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 N. State Route 291, Liberty. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, at the Hampton Cemetery near Everton, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Missouri Baptist Home.

Curt grew up on a farm in Dade County, MO, the youngest of four children of George Dewey and Olive Mae (Bell) Casey. Along with his parents, Curt was preceded in death by his son, Gary Casey.

Curt received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia where he became a lifelong Tigers fan. His career in banking spanned 37 years, including 27 years at Rosedale Bank in Kansas City, KS, where he worked his way from teller to President. Following his banking career, Curt worked 10 years for the IRS. Curt was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where he volunteered directing traffic, doing mailings and pushing babies in strollers. Curt had a great sense of humor and always had a story to share. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; brothers, William Casey and James Casey; sister, Irene Climer; son, Scott Casey; step-son, Brian Larson (Lisa); step-daughter, Cris Funk (Jim); grandson, Jason (Karen); step-grandsons, Jesse and Zachary; step-granddaughter, Megan; three great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Service Information:

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church 1600 N. State Route 291, Liberty, Mo.


Visitation: 10:00~11:00 a.m. prior to services


Graveside Service: 4:00 p.m. at Hampton Cemetery, Everton, Missouri
