Mamie “Mickey” L. Cashatt

Mamie "Mickey" L. Cashatt, 91, of Liberty, MO, passed peacefully on March 12, 2020 in her home surrounded by all eight of her children.

Mickey was born in Fayette, MO, the daughter of Ishmael and Grace (Wolcott) Keith, and was raised in a bustling home of eleven children. She resided in Liberty, MO for more than 50 years. She loved fishing, photography, poetry and most of all, family.

Mickey was an accomplished author of multiple poetry books. Her first book, "God's Heart Revealed" was released in 2006. Her second book, "The Lowly Dandelion" was released in 2007. Her third and final book, "Sands of Time" was finished and placed in her hands just 36 hours prior to her passing!

Survivors include two sons, Charles L. Cashatt, Jr. (Patricia) and Daniel K. Cashatt, Sr. (Debbie); six daughters, Sharon Wheeler (Steve), Patsy Shanks Johnson, Debbie "Gracie" Cashatt Beeman, Rhonda Elliott, Diana "Gail" Crain and Annette Cashatt Massey; 27 grandchildren, and 50-plus great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Annabelle Wagner, Evelyn Patrick and Gloria Beauchamp; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Charles L. Cashatt, Sr., one grandson, one great grandson and seven siblings.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Mickey's life at 6:00 pm, on Sunday, March 15, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. She will be laid to rest next to Charles, Sr. at a graveside ceremony at 12 noon Monday, March 16, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge, MO. Memorials are suggested to Healing House, 4505 St. John AV, Kansas City, MO 64123.

Service Information:

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Mickey’s life at 6:00 pm, on Sunday, March 15, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. She will be laid to rest next to Charles, Sr. at a graveside ceremony at 12 noon Monday, March 16, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge, MO.
