Cheryl Alvis

April 20, 1963 - September 03, 2024

Cheryl Alvis, 61, of Independence, Mo passed away on September 03, 2024, after a long courageous fight with cancer. Cheryl dedicated her life to loving her family well as a wife, mom, and nonny.

Cheryl was born in Independence, Mo on April 20, 1963 in Independence, Mo. to Howard and Elsie Landess. She was a graduate of Chrisman High School where she met her husband Phillip Alvis of 42 years.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her son Christopher Scott, mother Elsie and father Howard Landess, grandsons; Titan Jax, and Mateo Hawk.

Cheryl is survived by her Husband Phillip, children; Brandon and Candace (Terrance Logan), sister Becky Noll(Don Noll), and grandchildren.

Cheryl was known for her quiet and sweet demeanor. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren, thrifting, and exploring newly built homes. She had an eye for a good find. 

Following a private burial, family and friends are welcome to join a Celebration Luncheon to honor Cheryl at Crown Pointe Church 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee's Summit, Mo. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Crown Pointe Church's bereavement ministry are encouraged.
