CHERYL “CHERI” BRAUN

          Cheryl L. “Cheri” (Needham) Braun, 77, of Liberty, MO, passed peacefully on February 18, 2024, surrounded by her family at NorthCare Hospice House.

          Cheri was born January 3, 1947, in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of John Phillip and Rose Mary (Payne) Needham.  Along with her parents, Cheri was preceded in death by a brother, John “Butch” Needham, and son-in-law, Doug King. She was united in marriage to Dan Braun on May 7, 1983.  

          Cheri received her degree in Nursing from Penn Valley College and worked many years at North Kansas City Hospital before she retired.  She was a member of North Star United Methodist Church.  

          Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Dan; children, Kelly Wagoner (Brad), Lisa Henderson (Bob), and Moses Braun (Valerie); grandchildren, Kelsey, Robby (Marci), Alexis (Brennan), Jordan, and Brody; and great grandchildren, Gracie, Carson, and Kinsley.

          Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Cheri’s life at 2:00 pm, on Friday, February 23, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
