Christine Davis

   Christine Pierette Davis, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away April 2, 2024, at her home in Kansas City.  Her wishes were for cremation. Christine will be privately inurned along with her twin sister, Lois Davis, in Green Lawn Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.

   Christine was born February 12, 1936, in Kilgore, Texas, to Mattie (Carr) and Benjamin F. Davis, Sr.

She graduated from Emmett Scott High School in Tyler, TX, and went on to attend Tyler Junior College for two years. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Rockhurst College in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a buyer for the Finance Department at City Hall in Kansas City and retired after 30 plus years of service.

   Christine truly loved the Lord and accepted Him as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a devoted, loving lady, whose love knew no bounds. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family and friends, nurturing and guiding them with wisdom, kindness, and boundless affection. Her legacy is not just in the projects she completed or the accolades she received, but in the quiet moments of support, the shared laughter, and the unwavering presence she offered to us all.  

   While we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the genuine warmth, compassion, and generosity she spread. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends, and her memory will be forever cherished. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the memories and the love she left behind.

   Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin F. Davis, Sr. and Mattie Carr Davis; and her siblings, Mamie Davis, Benjamin F. Davis, Jr., Jarvis Davis, Lois Davis, and Donnie Ray Davis. She is survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews in Arizona, California, Minnesota, Texas, Ohio,  Washington, and the Kansas City area.
