Clarence Raymond Royster Sr., age 81, passed into his Father's arms July 6, 2024.
Funeral service will be 2PM, Friday, July 12, 2024, at Park Lawn Chapel, with visitation beginning one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born February 12 1943, to Clarence Fay Royster and Lucy Edith Royster. After graduating from Northeast high school in Kansas City Mo, Raymond married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Lee Golden. After their marriage Raymond went to work for Montgomery Wards for a few years before embarking on his career as Transportation Manager at General Mills in Kansas City where he received training at UMKC. He retired from General Mills after 25 years of service. After retirement Raymond and Sandra joined the ministry together and studied at Jefferson City school of religion. He spread God's word for 28 years in 4 locations before retiring again at 80.
Raymond was a leader of Cub pack 57 then followed with leader of Boy Scout troop 57. Raymond was a family man who enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting. He was known to spend many a afternoon with his grandson on the bank of any lake they could find. He also enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandra L. Royster; Three sons: J.R. and Kathleen Royster, of Leavenworth Kansas; Kenneth and Susan Royster, of Lee's Summit Mo; Wayne Royster of Pea Ridge, AR, seven grandchildren: Brandy Royster, Logan Faley, Christopher Royster, Cody Royster, William Royster, Ava Twombly, Kya Twombly; eight great grandchildren: Braelyn Faley, Olivia Faley, Mathew Webb, Patrick Webb, Trinidy Webb, Jersey Chase, Colton Royster and Tessa Royster.
