Mickey Joel Cochran, Sr., 83, passed away September 10, 2020.  Mickey Sr. was born in Kansas City, MO to George “Joe” & Opal on September 16, 1936. He was married to Edith July 5th, 1963. He worked as an automotive mechanic all his life until retiring in his early sixties. He served in the Army after being drafted in his early twenties. He was a hard working father and husband who always provided for his family. Mickey Sr. always put everyone first before him. He would always do everything he could to lend a helping hand for everyone. You could always count on Mickey Sr. to be there in a time of need.

Mickey Sr. was preceded in death by his wife Edith L. Cochran of Kansas City and parents George “Joe” & Opal Cochran of Peculiar MO.

Mickey Sr. is survived by his children: Janice & Bart Dame of Raymore MO, Mickey Jr. & Marina Cochran of Lee’s Summit MO, his siblings leaves 3 brothers: George J. Cochran of Westline MO, Carl Cochran of Peculiar MO, Calvin Cochran of Belton MO, 3 sisters: Gereldine Richards of Peculiar MO , Jenny Thienes of Texas, Susie Cowan of Peculiar MO, Grand Children: Lori Dame of Raymore MO, Kenny & Megan Dame of Santa Clara CA, 4 Great Grandchildren: Lucas Dame, Blake Dame, Gavin Dame, and Drew Dame.

Graveside services will be 1PM, Wednesday, September 16 at Palestine Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Park Lawn, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.  The family of Mickey Cochran Sr. wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Blue Hills Rest Home, Research Medical Center nurses, Park Lawn Funeral Home, and all the extended members of the family.

Service Information:
