On March 17th, 1933 Patricia Jean McClement (known to family and friends as Pat), was born to Jeanne Isabel and William Hugh McClement in Independence, MO.
As a child, Pat’s father worked for the Missouri Highway Department and had to relocate about every eight months, resulting in her attending 21 different schools by the time she was a junior in high school.
Pat met the love of her life, John Cole, at a chili dinner hosted by her parents. They were wed on September 17, 1950 and were happily married for 70 years.
In 1955 they welcomed their first son Russell, two years later in 1957 marked the addition of twin girls, Cindy and Sandy, and in 1959 the family became complete with their second son, Randy.
Pat enjoyed babysitting for over 25 years; encouraging and molding young minds. She also enjoyed cross stitching, playing Scrabble, a variety of card games, and was an avid bowler, participating in up to three leagues per week for 43 years. John built her a beautiful china cabinet which she filled with a large collection of bells.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Pratt McClement; father, William McClement; brother William McClement; and her sister Doris Miller.
She is survived by her husband John R Cole; her children, Russell Cole (Star), Cindy Leibinger (Jay), Sandy Adams (Robert), and Randy Cole (Barbie); and two sisters Karen Stair (Terry), and Annette Waugh (Walter). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and with several nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
