Collins, Terry Michael

February 26, 1945 — August 6, 2021

Terry Michael Collins, 76 years old, went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on August 6, 2021. He slipped peacefully into eternity at 3am with family at his bedside. He was greatly loved by his family and will be sorely missed.

Terry was born in Kansas City, MO on February 26, 1945 to Thomas Andrew Collins and Mary Jane (Love) Collins Miller. He graduated from Center High School in 1963. He lived in Kansas City, MO his whole life.

Most of Terry's adult working years were at Armco Steel in Kansas City, MO. Terry was involved many years serving in various ministries at church including dishwashing at Elementary Summer Camp so he could be there with his grandkids - one year all 9 of them went - what an adventure! Terry enjoyed boating, traveling, yardwork and reading. He loved his wife and 4 kids but the true joy in his life was being Grandpa.

Terry is survived by: Rose, his wife of 40 years; Children: Jill Lynn Collins, James Michael Collins (Adella) (their mother Linda Collins), Barbara Diane Irvine Wilson (Brent), Andrea Gayle Irvine McGrew (Michael); Grandchildren: Abigayle Rose McGrew Shubert (Daniel); Derek Michael Collins, Hallie Rose Geodeke (Branden), Hunter James Collins, Lena Brooke Collins, Mathew Joseph Michael McGrew, Brent Timothy Wilson Jr., Ariana Elaine Collins and Hannah Grace Lockard-Collins; Great Grandchildren: Myla Rose Geodeke, Clara Abigayle Geodeke, Payten LeAnn Rose McGrew (all three born July 2020) and the newest addition Amir Michael Collins, who was born in June of this year. Terry also has surviving dear Aunt Betty who is in her 90's, cousins and nieces.

Terry was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, his brother Tom, as well as many friends and relatives.

I will remember what an easy man he was to love. Always willing to help others and do whatever he could. Never selfish, never angry. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Heaven has gained another Saint looking down over his family and still loving us all.
