John Samuel Cooper, 55, Kansas City, passed away November 1, 2022.

John was born June 30, 1967, in Kansas City, MO and grew up in Overland Park, KS, before moving to the Liberty area to raise his family.

John was married to Nicole Cooper, the mother of his children for 19 years. He leaves behind his beloved four children, Kaeleigh, Lyndsey, John Jr., and Marissa; sister Beth Cooper; cousin Bob Dalton, as well as many other family members and lifelong friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Therese Cooper.

John was a huge Chiefs fan and had a large collection of items that he proudly displayed during the season and he never missed watching a game. He enjoyed spending time on the lake, boating, fishing, tubing and water skiing. He also loved the mountains and snow skiing and passed that passion onto his children when he taught them to ski several years ago. He also loved amusement parks, making people laugh and telling corny jokes.

John was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and attended St James Catholic Church.

An open house memorial will be held November 26, 2022, at St James Catholic Church, 309 S Stewart Rd., Liberty, MO 64068 from 1:00-4:00 pm. The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of flowers a memorial account has been set up at the Clay Co. Savings Bank in the name - Nicole Cooper, memorial fund; to be used for the children’s Education.
