Betty Lea Cox

Betty Lea Cox, 86, of Kearney, MO passed away on January 4, 2022 at the NorthCare Hospice House. She was born May 11, 1935 in Mt. Moriah, Missouri to Ellis and Fairel (Gannon) Wilcox. She married Amos Cox on June 22, 1952 and he survives at the home.

Also surviving are her children Jerry Cox Sr. of North Kansas City, MO, Gwen Skorupan (Larry) of Surprise, AZ and Tammy Ensor (Russ) of Holt, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren.

Betty was the owner/operator of Betty Lea Fashions, Inc., a garment manufacturer in Riverside, Mo for 22 years. She retired to Preston, MO in 2000 with her husband. They joined the Assembly of God church in Branch, MO where she was responsible for the outreach program in support of the community needs for over 10 years.

Visitation will be held at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel from 9 AM until 10 AM on Friday, January 7, 2022 with the service to follow at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Princeton, MO.
