Roberta A. Crain

May 27, 1952 — July 29, 2022

Roberta A. Crain of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 29th at the age of 70. She was preceded into the afterlife by her sister, Alberta Feagle, parents Earnest and Bertha Crain and former husband/life long friend Gary Rasmussen.

Although her elementary education began in South Kansas City, her family would soon move to Lee’s Summit. There, she and her sister attended Lee’s Summit High School while living with their parents on a small farm. This move may be one of the catalysts that led to her love of animals and gardening. The following fall after high school graduation, she and her sister attended college at North West Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. It is here that she would graduate with a degree in Political Science and meet her husband Gary. Post college, Roberta would go on to begin a career in social work for the state of Missouri, where she became a supervisor. She would continue this career until her retirement in 2003. However, she always had an interest in helping and teaching children, which is why her retirement would soon turn into a substitute teaching career with the Center School District. She would remain a substitute, primarily in elementary, until her death in 2022.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Gene Feagle, nephew Andrew Feagle, cousins Linda Kay Hanson, Bob Aubuchon, Don Aubuchon and other surviving cousins.
