Betty Jean Curry

Betty "Jean" Curry, 76, of the Kansas City Northland and formerly of Raymore, MO, passed peacefully on December 10, 2020, at Anthology of Burlington Creek with loved ones at her side.

Jean was born March 23, 1944, in Lenoir City, TN, one of four children of Pat and Mary (Newberry) Lowe. Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Curry; sister, Carol Hess; and daughter, Colleen McCubbin.

Jean graduated from Raytown High School in 1961. In her early working years, she was a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. Jean later worked at Bendix, Vanguard Airlines as a flight attendant, and most recently for Allen Markings. Jean was a faithful Christian and confirmed in the Catholic Church.

Jean leaves children, William "Bill" Trell Keen (Carissa), Tina Filbeck (Ron) and Cathy Feuerborn (Gary); grandchildren, Taylor (Derek), Haley (Tucker), Devin, Kimber, Emma, Shelby (Shane), Max, Adam, Samantha (Paul), Justin, Randee Jean, Correen, and Abigale (Tanner); great grandchildren, Cason, Bladen, Abel, Teigen and Kendyl; brothers, Jim Lowe and Jeffrey Scott Lowe (Laura); brother-in-law, Larry Hess (Kay); as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Jean's life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. While the visitation and services will be open to all who wish to attend, the service at 11:00 am will also be live-streamed. Private burial at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO.   In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
