JEREMY CRISPIN CUSHING

God took a very special soul today. He gave Jeremy to us February 15, 1973, to care for him but for a short while, to share his wonderfully witty life and to love him forever.

On February 23, 2022, Jeremy left this world reuniting his entire spirit with God; no longer to experience the beauty and wonder of this world, but to enter the pure bliss of God's eternal love, still a vital part of this universe.

I have heard it said that he was too gentle for this earth. He gave little regard to the material things...to a fault. But that was his only fault which may have manifested itself in different ways. He was truly a good man. Jeremy was kind, polite, courteous and respectful to others. That was Jeremy's gift and he shared it graciously. His smile, the gleam in his eyes, his cornball jokes, off the cuff wit, his touch, his voice, even the way he walked will be dearly missed.

Thank you dear Lord, our God, for sharing this very special spirit with us and giving us his love to cherish forever.

Jeremy leaves behind his partner, Leslie Sanders; mother, Mary Ann Mathiasch and husband Bill; father, John A. Cushing and wife Theresa; sister, Nicole Turner, her husband Mike and their sons Mason and Landen; brothers, Brian Neal and his daughter Autumn Sanders, and Daniel Cushing and wife Pauline; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

It gives us solace that evidence shows Jeremy died peacefully and in no pain.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, March 1, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shelter KC or to Hillcrest Ministries in Liberty, MO.

Shocked to hear of your passing. You were such a great neighbor, coworker, and friend. We will always remember your humor, positive attitude, and the fun times we had hanging out with you and your brother. You will be greatly missed, Jeremy. The Shea Girls - Amber, Michelle, & Jocelyn

Really sorry and sad to hear that you moved on... you were my brother when we were kid in school and a better friend than I could ask for when we got older. I will always remember you , Brother!

It broke my heart to know you passed one. I will cherish the time we spent together. Love you friend!

Jeremy, Although we haven't seen each other for a few years. I still remember you well. Summer evenings, listening to you play the guitar and sing. I was amazed when you knew the notes to Hotel California as we sang along. So carefree and relaxed. Very talented musically. When I announced Scott and my wedding to you. You were quick to offer your gift of videography for free! That was such a blessing! And although we weren't blood related or shared our beginnings with each other. You welcomed me as a sister! You will be missed! And I wish I could have seen you more recently! Fly high now! 💗

Gone too soon my brother in law. You made Leslie happy and I thank you for that. It’ll be hard moving on knowing your smile will only be seen in pictures and your laugh on a recording. The loss is felt tremendously among those who love you the dearest. Fly high brother~go free.

I love you so much. I miss you so much. It hurts so bad to think about you being gone, never to see or hear or touch you again. Your smile and your laughter, your ability to make others laugh, your caring nature will carry me through the pain. I love looking at your pictures, remembering your face at different ages. I want you to know that your spirit is very much alive in me and, I'm sure, countless others. You are dearly missed and will never be forgotten, eternally entwined with my heart and my mind an my spirit. Your light will shine forever in our hearts. It won't be long before we are together again. Save a seat for me.
